Deltrade Catering, Events & Services (“we”, “our”, or “us”), based in Cape Coast, Ghana, is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account data: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a secure hash).
  • Order data: items ordered, delivery address, payment reference, and order status history.
  • Event data: event type, date, guest count, and any notes you provide when making a booking inquiry.
  • Communications: messages sent through our live chat or contact form.
  • Usage data: browser type, pages visited, and device information collected automatically via server logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process your orders and event bookings.
  • To send you order confirmations, status updates, and receipts.
  • To operate our loyalty rewards programme.
  • To respond to your enquiries and support requests.
  • To send you newsletter updates if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • To improve our website and services.
  • To comply with legal obligations under Ghanaian law.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Paystack (paystack.com), a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store your card details. We receive only a payment reference and confirmation of success or failure.

4. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate our business (Paystack for payments, Resend for emails, Arkesel for SMS). These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order records are retained for 7 years to comply with Ghanaian tax and accounting requirements. You may request deletion of your account at any time via Account Settings → Delete Account.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction: update incorrect data via Account Settings.
  • Deletion: delete your account and associated data from Account Settings.
  • Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email we send.

7. Cookies

We use essential session cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your cart. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

8. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, secure password hashing (bcrypt), rate limiting, and security headers to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
